Samsung Biologics to Showcase Biomanufacturing Innovation at BPI Boston 2026
Samsung Biologics will participate in BioProcess International (BPI) 2026, taking place in Boston from September 22 to 25, where the company will showcase its latest capabilities and innovations across the biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing lifecycle.
Participating for the ninth consecutive year at BPI Boston, Samsung Biologics will operate a dedicated booth highlighting its end-to-end capabilities spanning contract research, development, and manufacturing. The company will showcase key offerings including Samsung Organoids, differentiated CDO capabilities, and manufacturing services supporting a diverse range of modalities.
Samsung Biologics experts will also share their expertise through a dedicated company presentation and scientific posters throughout the conference, highlighting its proven approaches designed to enhance product quality, streamline development, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
On Wednesday, September 23, Taeheui Lee, Vice President, Antibody Purification Process Development, will deliver a presentation titled “From Complexity to Confidence: Challenges and Strategies for Bispecific and Multispecific Antibody Development.” The session will highlight an integrated chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) approach for complex molecules, including a case study demonstrating how molecule-specific process development strategies have reduced development timelines from 13 months to 9.5 months while maintaining high quality.
Three scientific posters will highlight Samsung Biologics’ advances in cell line development, upstream process development, and analytics services for adeno-associated virus (AAV) products. Yingji Kim, Director of Cell Line Development, will showcase a streamlined cell line development platform for complex molecules, while Sojeong Lee, Director of Upstream Process Development, will share how the company’s S-Tensify™ platform can increase cell density and achieve up to two-fold improvement in titer while maintaining product quality.
The third scientific poster will be presented as part of Cell & Gene Therapy International, held in conjunction with BPI, where Abigail Garcia, Director of AAV Technology, will share an analytical strategy for assessing full capsid ratios in AAV products, supporting accurate characterization and the development of high-quality gene therapies.
Through its participation at BPI Boston 2026, Samsung Biologics will engage with industry experts and partners while demonstrating how its integrated capabilities and continued process innovation can support clients in accelerating the development and manufacture of next-generation biopharmaceuticals.
