Samsung Biologics builds stronger connections through bolstered CDO capabilities and continuous expansion | Highlights from BIO 2024

Samsung Biologics made a scene at the 2024 BIO International Convention held between June 3-6 in San Diego. The company shared updates on its strengthened CDO capabilities and developments regarding capacity expansion and portfolio diversification. The Samsung Biologics team was also able to network with existing and potential clients throughout the four-day event.

At its eye-catching booth, Samsung Biologics showcased its client-centric service value – Agile. Flexible. Focused on You. – reflecting the company’s commitment to offer tailored and seamless solutions with accelerated timelines for its clients. Samsung Biologics introduced S-TensifyTM – the latest addition to its series of proprietary technology platforms. It is an intensified cell culture platform designed to support the development of high-concentration biopharmaceuticals.
The company also shared updates regarding Plant 5 and its antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) facility. Plant 5, the first facility of Bio Campus II, will add fresh capacity of 180,000 liters when operational in April 2025 – giving Samsung Biologics a total biomanufacturing capacity of 784,000 liters. The construction of the company’s ADC facility is also expected to be complete by the end of the year.
Samsung Biologics’ booth also had private space to facilitate meetings with existing and potential clients to learn more about the company’s offerings and discuss collaboration opportunities in manufacturing and development.
