Campaign Spotlight | What is Life?
What does life mean to us? As part of the healthcare industry, we ask this question to ourselves often. To our employees, it's about making a positive impact on the world through our work, and transforming those “What if…?” questions into powerful actions that save and improve lives. This is the essence of how and why we work.
In our newest brand campaign, we explored this theme with some of our employees who shared how their past experiences have shaped who they are and how their core values guide the life-saving work they do today.
Can you share a life-changing experience or moment that significantly impacted your perspective?
Rana Sualhi | Senior Director, Raw Materials Testing & Sample Management
When my father passed away three years ago from cancer, I came to realize how important the biopharma industry is and how lucky I was to be part of it and to make a small contribution to society. It was a reminder to me that every effort, no matter how modest and small, can make a significant impact on people's lives.
Sungdae Kim | Associate, CDO Project Management
When I took the lead as a project manager for the first time, I realized how much influence I have on the success of a project since we are both managing the overall timeline and working to prevent any risks that may hinder the project’s completion. It was then that I learned how my management and communication skillsets could directly impact our clients’ products which, in turn, would have a ripple effect on numerous patients’ lives. Recognizing this significant responsibility and accountability really transformed my perspective on how I can contribute to the company’s mission.
What are your core values, and how do they guide your decisions in life?
Soonbin Kwon | Senior Scientist, mRNA Manufacturing
I'm passionate about discovering the unknown, especially in the bio industry, where we continuously expand the boundaries of what’s possible. I want to explore and pioneer new areas in biotechnology through continuous research.
Daniel Buckley | Lead Scientist, Downstream Development
So my philosophy in life is to always grow and improve day by day, both for myself and also for the people around me. In every job, I always look back and reflect on the legacy I leave behind and if I’ve left the environment better than I found it.
With Samsung Biologics, I'm on this journey, where I come to work every day knowing that I am making a difference. We're constantly improving our technology to enhance the robustness of our processes, to improve the quality of our products, and to bring medicines to more people across the globe.

The core essence of our journey is to make the
seemingly impossible become possible
I think that the more
challenges we Face the more we learn and
faster we grow uh when I'm not sure
about something I seek for advice from
our colleagues to learn from them and
also improve
I think we're definitely
making the impossible possible ATO
everyone at some stage in their life
will probably have a friend or a family
member that relies on biopharmaceutical
products that we produce here um and I
think that that's really impactful to
the work that we do
