Samsung Biologics launches new corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative
Samsung Biologics’ management and labor launched a new corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative – donations from which will be used to support vulnerable children in neighboring communities.
The program dubbed ‘Nanum store,’ invites some 20 vendors that will sell goods. 5~15% of the proceeds will be used to help children that require long-term medical or educational support due to financial difficulties.
Samsung Biologics has been promoting a culture of sharing within the company, operating various CSR activities, including volunteer services at local care centers and hospitals, as well as installing donation kiosks around the company.
“As part of our mission to save people’s lives, Samsung Biologics will be at the forefront of efforts to support those in need around us,” said John Rim, CEO and President of Samsung Biologics.
“We plan to work together with management to create a modal for mutual prosperity and sustainable growth along with our communities,” said Jaesung Park, Head of Union.
